MINI CAMP

Under the roof of our local church wonderful things happen ... We worship, we hear the Word preached, we eat ... and also we do camps. It is strange to see a good group of kids playing, eating, sleeping and competing at the same local that on Sunday morning turned to be the place of worship. But this is how the Lord has allowed us to once again make a "minicamp" for children, just using our small resources.

The Hessed camp ministry  was this time organized and run by the youth group and it was a great blessing. I felt like I was "retiring" and transferring over our own vision to a group of good young people who have also taken the vision of training the next generation in the ways of the Lord. These young men and ladies acted as coaches, counselors and teachers giving the Bible classes and guiding the children in the different activities that had been programmed for the 24 hour of camp. Children that were attending not only belong to our church, but also to other congregations of our fellowship. It was lovely to receive some visitor from our small neighborhood who had the opportunity to hear the glorious Gospel of Salvation. The classes addressed the Bible history of Daniel and everything we did was focused on the example of courage that this man of God gave us. We had activities and competitive games in the city park. That location also opened the door to meet and witness to people who were there. The food was served from the small kitchen in our church building and the same tables used to eat served afterwards to do crafts.

We continue to use the resources that the Lord has given us. Maybe someday in the future we may enjoy a more spacious and roomy place, but as for today we want to use wisely the few resources we have. God has greatly blessed us by multiplying the little we have. Our desire is to continue doing these "mini-camps" during the year as a way to reach more children. That also will  allow the children of our church to spent more time together listening to the Lord and learning from His Word.

We thank the Lord for this ministry among children.  please continue helping us to reach children and youngsters with the eternal Gospel of salvation.
