come and help us

Could you imagine yourself as a missionary? Serving the Lord, preaching to the lost, helping those in need. You are a missionary. Because you are part of what the Lord is doing in the mission field of Spain. The Lord is in control,  that brings peace to our hearts. The ministry is the Lord´s. Everything that we do effects others. Our life is not an island in the sea of humanity. Your life is important because you are touching other lives now. I want to help and be part of what the Lord is doing.   The missionary work is a team work, and you are an important part of the team. Would you like to help? Please, consider in prayer what you can  do. Yes, Support is a matter of prayer, of help and partnership. It is a team work where you are serving. Homes are in need of salvation. “España” our beloved mission field, is one of the most needed countries.  A Land of history and of beauty is dying in spiritual darkness. People are dying without Christ without help.

MINI CAMP

Imagen
Under the roof of our local church wonderful things happen ... We worship, we hear the Word preached, we eat ... and also we do camps. It is strange to see a good group of kids playing, eating, sleeping and competing at the same local that on Sunday morning turned to be the place of worship. But this is how the Lord has allowed us to once again make a "minicamp" for children, just using our small resources. The Hessed camp ministry  was this time organized and run by the youth group and it was a great blessing. I felt like I was "retiring" and transferring over our own vision to a group of good young people who have also taken the vision of training the next generation in the ways of the Lord. These young men and ladies acted as coaches, counselors and teachers giving the Bible classes and guiding the children in the different activities that had been programmed for the 24 hour of camp. Children that were attending not only belong to our church, but also to other

September, the beginning of the year?

Christmas in September could have been a good idea. It feels like the year starts in September. This is the month for organization, planning, and preparation. Summer ended and everything went back to "normality". and As I look back to the month I can list a good series of "new beginnings": 1.  Ladies meetings every fifteen days. 2.  Men´s fellowship once a month (the last Saturday of the month). 3.  Children Bible Club: on Saturday morning. 4.  Youth group: Saturday evening. 5.  Bible Institute: Wednesday (upper class) and Fridays 6.  Bible studies and prayer meetings at homes: Mondays and Thursdays. 8.  Evangelism and visitation on Tuesdays 7.  Homeschooling: five days a week. These are just "activities" but every one of those activities has to be watered in prayer. This list is just a small list of what we are doing, serving the Lord in Spain. September is also a time of planning new goals and objectives (using company terms...) but I prefer

SUMMER CAMPS HESSED 2012

Imagen
HESSED CAMP Summer 2012 God bless, and when He does His blessings overabundant. I think this is the summary of the camp ministry this summer. Satan has been trying to stop and discourage this work, but the Lord has been with us. Kids camp . Counting children, consellors, cooks and managers we were 32. This is not a small number if we think that many of the children came from contacts. For four of them this was their first camp. I would like to  to praise the good work done by the consellors.. Maria Samuel, Nataly and Erick were doing their internship with us in order to acquire their diploma as "Monitor de la Generalitat de Catalunya." This is a required diploma for those that work as consellors or directors where minors are involucrated (children and youth activities).  Along with eight other monitors they helped in managing tasks like games, competitions, crafts and caring for the children. It's been a blessing for me to see these young people "in action".

Summer: Full time Ministry

EBV in English This year “summer Vacation Bible School”  has become an  intensive English course. Two young Americans, Vincent and Timothy, will be helping in the teaching of English to our youth, church members or unbelievers who want to participate. I am not sure how many will be, but it seems that we can expect a good group of participants. Many of the unbelievers that we have invited to come are attracted by the idea of  “free English classes ... “ a course like the one we are offering can cost more than five hundred euros. I worked as an English teacher for 9 years which allowed me to develop a good curriculum and a lot of teaching tools. I have also a degree from London University as a exam corrector. This can be of a good help because we are planning to give each student a small diploma at the end of the study. I beg you to pray for us so we will be able to use this opportunity not only to learn a beautiful language, but especially to present the Gospel to all of those

Dominican Republic: A land of Contrast

Imagen
This picture is expresses in an image what it was for us our trip to the Dominican Republic. The painting was drawn by Maria Eugenia, the wife of pastor Atilio Leon. The beauty of this scene talks about our time there. A time of Contrast. I have never seen poverty as I saw in RD, but I never saw richness as I saw in the RD. I saw spiritual poverty and need, and I saw the abundant blessings God has bestowed upon this country. I was invited to be the preacher in a couples retreated in Jarabacoa hosted by the church of pastor Atilio in Santo Domingo. The topic of my conference was "Harmony in the Christian Home." We spent a three precious days in a hotel situated in the mountains of Jarabacoa. The fellowship with the brethren was precious, we made new friends, and the Lord touch lives and hearts. This was just the beginning of our trip there. After returning to the main city we spent time of fellowship with our beloved friends Atilio and Ianka and their children. We met sev

Beyond Our Borders

When the Lord called me to serve Him I was willing to go ANYWHERE He wanted me to go... I thought first that I had become a missionary to my onw people, my Jerusalem. But after several years of ministry I am realizing that in His Grace, the Lord has used our lives beyond our land, among the Spanish speaking people. First it was Cuba. That was a tryp that really marked my live and minsitry. Then Mexico in several occasions, Baja California,  Dominican Republic, Uruguay (two different times), Peru and of course the ministry among the spanish speaking people in the homeland, the United States. I landed in several airports and talk to people in Germany, England, Brussels, France, Denmark, Finland, Argentina, Brazil...  NO, I am not a world traveler, and I was not there as a tourist... actually I have done very little tourism... although every new place have brought to my heart a lot of love toward the people of those countries. I think I have left parts of my heart in each of those places.

The Joys and Shadows of May

God is faithful.  I will never be tire of saying it. He is the Lord of our lives and the Lord of our work. So when I look back on this May, only we have to thank Him for the joys ... and shadows.    Ministerially has been intense.  Some 18 people have been visiting us this month with the desire to join our church. They are believers who have had to become "pilgrims" as they left a church which pastor was teaching false doctrine.  These are spiritually  injured Christians. My prayer and desire is to help them in the love of our Lord in order to regain their trust and confidence in the sound doctrine. We need wisdom, but we know there is a balm that heals all wounds and that balm is Christ. It is difficult to accept people of other churches,. It is not the first time we minister  to wounded brothers and the result in earlier times was not always positive.  It is true that the experiences in the past make me act much more cautiously. I pray that the Lord will be glorify and

Youth Camp April 2012

Imagen
We praise the Lord for another camp. From April 5 th to April 8 th we were able to enjoy the ministry of camps among the teens. This time we went back to the little house of Cannova. We had “full house”. I had the opportunity to teach the morning classes while Rosa helped at the kitchen. I felt quite burdened this time more than ever before. More and more I see the spiritual need of these teens.  Some of them are bringing a heavy burden of worldliness and they are in a great spiritual need. Yet, once again I was able to witness the work of God in the hearts and souls of these young men and women.  We have been involucrated in camp ministries since the beginning of our ministry. We have not always been the “leaders” or directors  of the camps. Many times we were just helping in this ministry doing different things. It has been in these last years that we took full responsibility and charge of this ministry. Together with our co-worker, Kevin, we have shared burdens and responsibiliti

Baptism services of Daniel and Jeremy - Salvation and Birthday!

The intensity of the ministry during this month and in our own lives have filled my heart with joy. The opportunities to serve the Lord and grow in His Grace has been extraordinary. The opportunities to enjoy the family that the Lord has given me has been wonderful. On Sunday 18th the Lord gave us the opportunity to have a special service of baptisms where our children, Daniel and Jeremiah obeyed the Lord and were baptized. For me as a father this  occasion  was a very special event. It was a privilege to see how the Lord had been working in the hearts of my own children. I could see the testimony of salvation andcommitment to the Lord that our children have. They have become a public testimony of what the Grace of God can do. I thanks the Lord for them and their obedience toward us and specially toward the Lord. They are not perfect (we are neither) but what a joy to see them growing, loving and serving the Lord. The church was full, there was not enough room and many had be standi

Going Forward

Planting Churches in Spain has been the burden of our hearts since the Lord called us to serve Him.At the begining of our ministry and as a young missionary I took some decisions about "how to do it" (knowing of course that the Ministry is the Lord, that He has His sovereign will and purpose, and that I am just a servant). One thing that came to my mind was to establish a "mother church" out of which we could establish points of mission that eventually will become independent and autonomous congregations. My observation through the yeasrs was that some missionaries will start a church... leave to open another church, and the first one will just dissapear when the missionary was no more there.  With that in mind a few years ago we began helping in a town, one hour from us, Moià. Our Co-worker Kevin Kenney took the group there and the Lord has been doing a precious work in that little town. But this has been just the beginning. Last year a group of people from Valls,

DECEMBER

Imagen
December is synonymous of Christmas activities.  Decorations, food, gifts ...  but for the ministry in  Castellbisbal, December s is a very special time, a time of great blessings ...  and, of course, a time of alot of work;  The children's program, special music, the feast of Christmas, the special meeting at news year day...  all our effort and work during these Christmas days have a special purpose: these days are an opportunity to share the Gospel with our neighbors and friends. Children Program. You can watch the program in a video that I uploaded in our channel of  youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxPfLy2ni6g&feature=fvsr The church was full and we were blessed to see 12 unbelievers in our midst.  A part of good work done by the children that presented the history of Christmas, the many  visitors were able to listen to a message entitled "What if Christ had not come" ... We give to those who came a copy of the Gospel of John (the new version which   th
